  history.     at the tender age of two, she became an orphan. losing both of her parents to a fire at their estate, she was the sole survivor of the tragedy. she was taken by a crime lord who her family was close to, as he had promised to take care of her if anything ever happened. or so she thought.as a toddler, the death of her parents traumatized her and twisted her view of the world. every night she would wake up hearing their screams as they burned in the fire. a figure would appear in her dreams that she couldn't identify. no one she knew currently looked like the person in her dreams.eventually, she became the ruthless murderer for the group and was second in place for her hit success rate. her interrogation methods were said to be cruel and inhumane. she didn't bat an eyelash at the torture she caused those that came under her interrogation. at times leaving them overnight in the room next to her bedroom to bleed out slowly until they decided to speak.suddenly, that was torn from her. she was ousted from the group for whatever reason. kikyo had no idea what she even did to warrant such treatment. possibly the newest addition to the group was to blame? a kitsune the head of the group had taken in. coy at first until it bared it's claws at her once for her questioning it's loyalty.

now stripped of that as an adult, she has no idea what to do with herself. that was the only way she knew how to live. her identity was directly tied to the group. that's all she knew. that was her family. her killer tendencies broken following what she considered a betrayal.some people in kugane have started to think of her as a lost soul (ghost) as she finds herself in random areas in the night staring off into the distance with tears in her eyes.one such night, she ran into someone as she headed back to bokairo inn. literally ran into them. her eyes were red from having cried so much. when she looked up, her eyes widened as she realized it was the figure from her dreams. kirimaru recognized her after she called him "kiwi", the name she knew from childhood. annoyed, kirimaru and her spoke about past events and what had led her to wander the streets of kugane. he took her under his wing after she explained everything.since then, she's been with norainu has found herself recuperating her childhood memories that she had suppressed. kikyo also learned the truth about her previous boss and that she had been more of hostage than part of the family in the previous group.she has since become at peace with her past and is now focusing on living her life as she should had been this entire time.

Kikyo met Clove through the faction she used to belong to. Clove had come as an outsider to work within the faction without fully integrating into it. As the only other woman in the household, they struck a slight friendship. She hasn't heard from her in a while though.

kikyo's decesed parents. being their only child, they showered kikyo with love while they lived. they took her everywhere and taught her many things before passing when she was but seven years old. they made sure kikyo had somewhere to go in the case anything happened to them in the end. surely, they are rolling in their graves.

founder and current oyabun of Norainu. he was the one that was supposed to take kikyo in if anything happened to her parents. after being imprisoned before the incident, he thought kikyo dead once he heard of the news. it was only years later that he'd find her wandering kugane and take her under his wing.
